Broadfield appointed to work with Urban Splash on Phase 2 of Park Hill development
Director Tom Lawrence has been working as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for Urban Splash for many years and has been involved with the ambitious Park Hill development since it started in 2007.
As part of the team that successfully completed Phase 1 of the development, Broadfield were chosen to take the lead on Phase 2.
Simon Gawthorpe, Managing Director, Urban Splash says: “Broadfield were the natural choice for providing Quantity Surveying and Project Management support, and I’m confident the company will continue to provide exceptional service to our development at Park Hill.” Phase 1 of Park Hill includes 260 homes and 10 contemporary workspaces that are occupied with creative and digital businesses. Now there are currently 600 people living and working at Park Hill reflecting a mixed community, as well as the businesses, Grace Owen Nursery and S1 Artspace. The public realm has been improved with landscaping and seating areas which
have been enjoyed by residents and business since opening in summer 2016.
Phase 2 will consist of 199 apartments that will include 43 one bed, 137 two bed and 19 three bed units with commercial space along the ground floor.
Tom Lawrence comments: “Park Hill is a challenging building as well as being Grade II* listed. We believe in the project – which is an enormous and ambitious undertaking. After many years of scepticism about the project, seeing the first phase sell so well and now having a thriving enthusiastic community, proves that it is a place worth developing. It’s great
that we can be part of something so historic in our home city.”
